For the next few days I will attempt to articulate my values as guardrails for my life.
Pro Deo Et Regnum Dei (For God and For God’s Kingdom)
Those who serve in the military commit themselves by oath to allegiance to country and to the flag. They are willing to die in defense of that loyalty. They are motivated by that sense of allegiance. The knights and warriors of old had a similar allegiance.
After due reflections I have come to the conclusion that I too am a soldier of the Cross. In 2 Tim 2:3-4 “You therefore must endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. No one engaged in warfare entangles himself with the affairs of this life, that he may please him who enlisted him as a soldier.”
I therefore resolve that I live, “For God and For His Kingdom.” Pro Deo Et Regnum Dei
Everything I do is motivated by a passion for God and for His Kingdom. From now henceforth my primary motivation and primary loyalty by virtue of covenant is to God and His Kingdom. So help me God!
Champion, what is your primary motivation? Where does your primary loyalty lie? You need to settle that question in terms of your value systems.
